MY NATURE MUSEUM

My Nature Museum Final Product  

 The work carried out throughout the year in the eTwinning project "My Nature Museum", by class 2, of teacher Margarida Pinto, from Escola Básica de Fontainhas, was presented at the event "Let's Protect Nature" which took place last Thursday on the April 21st. The last activities were completed on the day of the event, requiring a lot of work, in which the students were enthusiastically involved, but also a lot of organization in partnership with the class owner who was always a facilitating and collaborating element in the development of the entire project. So, before the event, the students painted posters, t-shirts, bookmarks and stones.

 

 The eTwinning project "My Nature Museum, in which T2, by teacher Margarida Pinto, from Escola de Fontainhas is participating, combined the concept of a museum and the love for nature. The students understood that nature is the most beautiful museum and it is essential to preserve it so that in the future everyone can appreciate the beauty of all the species in it. With the activities carried out throughout the project, the students developed positive attitudes and behaviors in relation to the existing biodiversity in the natural space, as well as different skills, such as observation, analysis, questioning, critical thinking, creativity, imagination and digital skills.  In the Project Subject, Fontainhas' class 2 is participating in the eTwinning project "My Nature Museum". In this project, several classes from different countries participate. One of the participating teachers is Katarzyna Halys. She is a Polish teacher and her school is 60 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Her students are terrified of the proximity of war. Although the head teacher of the class, Margarida Pinto, had already talked to the students about the situation in Ukraine and on this subject, they had built a collective panel, we returned to the theme. We talked and listened to the calls for peace made through music... It was time to collectively think of words of comfort and recognition of the importance of the Polish people's solidarity with the Ukrainian people and to build a collective text.  At the end of January, the challenge was to continue a story, where biodiversity in general is discussed. The hero of the story finds different letters in the forest. At the end of the book the letters will form a sentence. In addition to writing a page of the story, they also created the illustration for the respective text.

 Also in January, students were challenged to use the online Word Art digital tool.

 Also in January, they wrote letters to their future grandchildren. We choose a Kaila letter.
