"My Nature Museum" is an eTwinning project to be promoted at T2 of the Escola Básica de Fontainhas, by the librarian teacher, in the Project Discipline, in conjunction with the head of the class, teacher Margarida Pinto. This project aims to develop a positive attitude and commitment towards the continuity and diversity of nature. It also offers opportunities for developing student skills such as observation, questioning, critical thinking, drawing conclusions, creativity, imagination and the responsible use of technologies and the internet. Hence a perfect articulation with the contents of the Project Subject, where a research model is followed, the theme chosen by the class was "Natural Heritage" and digital citizenship skills are developed. In the "My Nature Museum" project, there are several participating countries, as can be seen from the project's registration certificate.
Short Description :Besides being the social memories of humanity, museums are social learning spaces that support education and make learning enjoyable as a living laboratory. We combine the concept of museum with the love of nature in our project, where we aim to develop personal and social responsibility that will help children understand the meaning of life with the love of people and nature. With the understanding that nature is the most beautiful museum, our students will create their own nature museums at the end of the project after they learn about biological diversity by examining nature. OBJECTIVES : With this project, we will inform our students about museum culture and nature and enable them to develop positive attitudes and behaviors about the continuity and diversity of nature.
